Early start for this show. The alarm clock was set for 3:40 in the morning and a 340 kilometers drive to Köping for Westmanlands Kennel Club international show.
The judge for the day was Boo Lundström, who also had a trainee judge with him. This made the judging take a lot longer than usual. Only 37 ridgebacks was entered this day, maybe because the show is between the World Winner show and the Swedish Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty show and people prioritize those shows. For me Köping was a new experience, since the show earlier has been in Västerås. I found the showgrounds large and well organised.
I had two dogs to show; Aramis in the champion class and Celine in the open bitch class. Aramis was not in his best moods this day, so a second place in the relatively large champion class with nice critique was more than OK. He later also placed himself as 2nd best dog with reserve-CACIB.
Celeine showed very nice and we got to run six or seven laps around the ring. She finally ended up as 4th best bitch in the open class.
See you all at SRRS specialty this weekend!
